Breakfast meetings with Don and Ricardo involved examining some of the research work and processes involved in the PACTS project. This provided a great opportunity to discuss our next steps and to determine how we might best use our experiences from this past week in preparing our Stage 2 SMART proposal.

Ricardo shared his thoughts about this conference. I now share them with everyone because I believe they are an excellent summary of how everyone felt about this gathering ...
How I felt about the conference ....

  • Food was excellent.
  • Lodging was excellent.
  • Putting the workshop on the www everyday was unprecedented.
  • Participants' commitment to the learning was evident.
  • Using the tools (video conferences, internet searches, digital photos, powerpoint, etc) was great.
  • Communicating with people was very rewarding.
  • Felt like I was in the right place at the right time.
  • A privilege!
