Keewaytinook Okimakanak First Nations host local Smart Fairs for community members
Posted by: brianbeaton on Tuesday, September 16, 2003 - 03:55 PM

On the evening of December 10 and throughout the day on December 11, each of the Keewaytinook Okimakanak First Nations will be hosting their Smart Fair at the local e-Centre. Community organizations, businesses and individuals are encouraged to produce and host a poster display showing and demonstrating how they have used these communication tools over the past few years. All community members and organizations are invited to visit their local Smart Fair to learn more about the Smart Communities project and the work that the local Smart team and their partners have completed over the past couple of years. There will be a live video conferencing link to the event being planned in conjunction with the Chiefs of Keewaytinook Okimakanak meeting in Winnipeg during this time. Guests are being invited from across Northern Ontario and Manitoba to join the Chiefs in Winnipeg. Other people from across Canada and around the world will be joining in this event at different times throughout the day. Check out the Agenda and be sure to post your stories in the guest book. We look forward to meeting with everyone on December 10 and 11, either on-line or in person.
