Darlene began working with Keewaytinook Okimakanak back in 1995. She took care of the database for new users and scanned for inappropriate messages in the conferences that were setup on K-Net Bulletin Board System. She also worked with K-Net with different training programs that were funded through SLAAMB.

With her work experiences and training that Darlene has received, she is capable of helping and teaching others the skills that would benefit them. Making her home in North Spirit Lake and seeing the changes take place, she is able to share with community members about the new technology that is coming into the community.

Seeing improvement in the Northern communities is one of her top goals. She would like to see the First Nation people in the North benefit from the technologies that are placed in their community.
