Paul Bush

Experience

Mr. Bush has held a variety of positions during his 25 years at Telesat

Experience includes the development, marketing and implementation of satellite services in Canada and the United States. This includes extensive experience with telephone companies, Broadcasters, Federal Government departments and private business users.

Mr. Bush has had several years of experience in the data communications and telephony fields. This has included system design, specification and procurement of integrated voice, data and video networks.

In his role as Vice President, Corporate Development, Mr. Bush is responsible for all activities related to the development of business plans and the associated partners for new satellite services in Canada, the U.S. and internationally. Most recently, he has primed the development of a DBS system for Canada and Anik F1 and F2. His team is currently developing the next generation of satellites and technologies for Telesat.

Background:

Mr. Bush holds a Bachelor of Health Science from the University of Ottawa as well as a Bachelor of Education from Queens. He sits on the Boards of the following organizations: OCRI (Ottawa Center for Research & Innovation), RABC (Radio Advisory Board of Canada) and SSPI (Society of Satellite Professionals International). Through these affiliations, he has been active in the development of strategies for the deployment of information/telecommunication technologies in northern and rural Canada and in putting forward recommendations concerning the evolution of the Information "Skyway".
