Author of "Videoconferencing Using Satellite and Terrestrial Technology", he has over 17 years of experience in telecommunications, technology applications for open and distance education, distributed and online e-learning, training, communications technologies in the workplace, telehealth/telemedicine and e-commerce applications.

Wayne's current projects include transforming and expanding Contact North/Contact Nord's videoconferencing network to IP, leading the BWM (Broadband Wireless Multimedia) Pilot Project and directing several international consulting assignments.

He has also developed two leading-edge "Learning & Training Technology Labs" as additional focal points for the evaluation, application and integration of new and emerging technologies in distance learning and training in Ontario.

Wayne is a member of the ORION (Ontario Research & Innovation Optical Network) Technical Working Group, IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) and CADE (Canadian Association for Distance Education) and sits on several boards including 807 Northwest Network
