The objective of this workshop was to bring the community together, introduce what will be happening in their community in the next few months, and engage them in discussing how to use broadband connectivity to improve the community.

We talked about the Fort Severn Upgrade that will provide high speed internet connectivity and also touched a little on the SMART Community Proposal. With these projects in our minds we wanted to share group planning tools with different people in the community so these tools can be used to continue the local planning process.

These tools are a good communication tool for people to express themselves and plan in groups. These tools help people put down ideas on paper of what they may want; they help get a shared understanding of concerns and ideas on how to improve a community, and what specific actions need to happen.
